About Me

My name is Anthony Pomes and I am a third year undergraduate student currently undertaking a Bachelor of Media Arts at the University of New South Wales School of Art & Design. I am taking this course because I believe that the degree has provided me with a wide range of experiences, skills and techniques that has aided me on my journey to becoming a professional VFX compositor, bringing with me the high level skillset of a cinematographer, editor and programmer. Through my relevant works I have incorporated all aspects of these creative streams, producing films such as 'Paradigm' (2018) which was my first Major Project film for the HSC in Industrial Technologies Multimedia, obtaining a Band 6 (High Distinction). Other works such as 'Entropy' (2020) and 'Twisted Timeline' (2019) also convey my substantial abilities to capture the film-look and produce a short piece that's engaging and enjoyable to watch.

My focus is to work on projects within a studio that requires heavy use of compositing and with my end goal of becoming a Technical Director (TD) in Compositing & FX. The TD role will allow me to apply my sophisticated technical & creative knowledge to producing projects and works in which I can apply new and innovative processes, streamlining and outputting even more engaging visual work. I would also be open to collaborating with other artists, designers and programmers alike.
